Spring is one of our favorite times of year here at Bellaire at Stone Port. The community is anxious to watch the icy winter thaw into a brisk and beautiful spring. It won’t be long before the flowers are blooming abundantly in our gardens again and the porches will come to life with creaking rocking chairs and a buzz of cheerful conversations as residents enjoy fresh air and camaraderie.
It’s always an exciting time of year. We have a lot to be grateful for and look forward to this spring. This year more than ever.
Throughout the cold weather, our activities team has been hard at work, planning plenty of engaging and enjoyable indoor activities to tide us over until the warmer weather arrives. For example, a Saturday afternoon hot chocolate bar was a favorite on one of the coldest weekends we experienced in the middle of February.
Superheroes Save the Day
We celebrated our second COVID-19 vaccine clinic with a superhero-themed party. A special thanks to Country Confections VA for donating the beautiful cupcakes. We are hopeful for the future and looking forward to putting this awful virus behind us. A big “Thank You!” to all the superheroes that organized and participated in both vaccine clinics!

Spreading Love
Valentine’s Day festivities were also in full bloom mid-February and residents and staff enjoyed several days of food, crafts, and fun with smiles all around.
Chocolate covered Oreos, chocolate covered pretzels, ham-and-cheese sliders, and red velvet cupcakes took center stage. We topped it off with sparkling cider and carnations as a gift to each resident.
The staff were gifted with excellent Valentine’s Day advice from some of our resident experts.
